Location
Planning area is located in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood of Sarıyer district, İstanbul Province. Sarıyer is located on the north of the European side of Bosphorus and is neighborhood to Black Sea to north, Eyüp to west, Beşiktaş and Şişli to south. District consists parts of ridge located in east part of Çatalca Peninsula, descending towards the Bosphorus and Black Sea. Cumhuriyet Neighborhood is located in the south of Sarıyer District and its neighborhoods are Çayırbaşı, PTT Houses, Tarabya and Kireçburnu neighborhoods.
Purpose of Plan
The purpose of plan; Creating an exemplary project in unplanned and unhealthy structured areas in the Bosphorus region that provides necessary social and technical infrastructure services with sustainable development and on-site transformation.
Design Principles
- Determine prestige area in certain part of project in order to cover construction costs of residential areas to be constructed for the population living in the area,
- Create simple design for efficient use of construction right in the block forms due to restrictions imposed by Bosphorus Law,
- 18 m en kesitli ana ulaşım aksı üzerinde ticaret-konut alanları oluşturmak,
- Build trade-residential areas on main transport axis of 18 m cross-section,
- Propose new station entrance of project area with in scope of route change of İstinye-Kâğıthane subway and thus ensure that trade axis forms an economic attraction center,
- Planning high-availability access areas in line with topography of site,
- Preserving existing vocational and technical education facility and primary education facility by taking into consideration of cost,
- Planning areas are at the border of 1st degree natural site and flood are planned as green areas,
- Establishing green axis to provide pedestrian access between first degree natural sites east of project area and the green areas forming the western border,
- Creating gathering-dispersing points by proposing useful parking areas in places where urban equipments and residential functions are intensifying.
- Propose sports facility areas to meet the needs of sports and games
- 18m - 12m - 10m cross - section vehicles and pedestrian roads are planned to be connected with the 18m wide zoning roads limiting the project area, to form a transportation stage,
- Plan; vehicles and pedestrian roads to a minimum due to the high slope in the area,
