Location
In Planning Area was located on Turkey’s North, İn Blacksea Region and West Black Sea region, Kastamonu province, Merkez district, ın Örencik site. Planning area is approximately 4 km to Kastamonu city center, 515 km to İstanbul, 244 km to Ankara, 290 km to Samsun and 92 km to İnebolu. Yeşilkent Site and Gelincik Mansions are located in the southeast of the area as a settlement area. Distance of area to Kastamonu city center is approximately 4 km and to South West has Karaçomak Baragge and to South East Kastamonu Airport. Transportation to area is provided by Kastamonu East Ring Road.
Structure of Land
Planning area has 2 hills and slopes between these hills. Although there are two hills in the area, the area does’nt have sloping structure. Most of the area is slope range of 0-15%. Areas with slope values of 20% and few above. Lowest elevation of the area is 1048 m and there is a 27 m difference between highest and lowest elevation.
Design Principles
Planning approach is defined creating a living space with in the concept of neighborhood.
- Creating compatible and walkable neighborhood units in the planning area
- Designing social and technical infrastructure areas needed by population with in the planning area,
- Ensure balanced distribution of urban equipment areas within the planning area, by taking into consideration of the access distances,
- Provide construction compatible with the topography,
- Ensure diversity and accessibility in open and green spaces,
- Creating view points by designing public spaces in dominant points of the planning area.
- Create urban equipment areas to serve the whole city and ensure their integration with the city
