Location
Planning Area was located on Turkey’s northwest, in Trakya Region, Tekirdağ province, Çorlu district, Hürriyet neighborhood. South West of planning area has Çorlu city, east and South east of planning area has Önerler neighbourhood, Tekirdağ-Çorlu Airport. The planning area is bounded by D-100 Highway on the western wall and Tem Connection Road on northern border.
Structure of Land
Planning area slope increases east and west of area and decreases in south by forming border with straight line in the north. The lowest level in the planning area is 130 m the highest level is 184 m Planning area has four geological regions. Ergene Formation (Mie) areas, Areas suitable for settlement; Mie-e and Qal-e are areas requiring detailed geotechnical surveys.
Design Principles
- Creating compatible and walkable neighborhood units in the planning area
- Designing social and technical infrastructure areas needed by population in the planning area,
- 5 sub-zones were designed in the planning area. Each sub-zone represents a neighborhood. Each neighborhood is designed sub-zones can be self-sufficient.
- Create urban equipment areas to serve the area and ensure their integration with the area.
- Ensure balanced distribution of urban equipment areas within the planning area, by taking into consideration of the access distances,
- Kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools have been determined by providing access to local service roads by taking into consideration level of transportation
- Kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools have been determined due to considering green space fiction. Parking spaces have been designed in relation education facilities.
- Health facility areas are designed at intersection of main roads with high accessibility.
- Social facilities are designed to be related to green areas are established and intended to serve existing sub-zones of the neighborhood.
- Main pedestrian axes are designed direct main pedestrian axes away from main roads the centers of neighborhood.
- Creating comfortable and safe pedestrian axes for pedestrians, regardless of vehicle roads,
- Provide sufficient standards, comfort and safety on bicycle paths,
- Designing pedestrian and bicycle paths with high access to urban equipments,
- Provide construction compatible with the topography,
- Stream beds were evaluated with green areas and protected.
- Ensure diversity and accessibility in open and green spaces,
- Designing social facility area in the center will be located to serve health facility
- The market area has been designed to center by partially clearing density of the center.
- Ensuring transportation connections between the north and south of the planning area and ensuring continuity of 25m road,
- Creating view points by designing public spaces in dominant points of the planning area.
- Preserving implemented areas and associating them with development housing area
- Establishment transportation hierarchy and adaptation of environmental level in this field to topography
- Ensure integration of 25m road and other roads into the planning area strengthen relationship between northern and southern regions of the planning area
